‘Respect communal spaces’ and other guidelines for an open-plan office

In collaboration with long-term partner Dräger, our department developed an infographic offering employees recommendations on how to work harmoniously in an open-plan office.

Dräger wished to draw attention to particular environmental aspects of an open office format, for example the use of Collaboration Areas, as well as less conspicuous challenges such as the increased risks to data privacy that can be caused by leaving loose documents at work stations (where 55% of workplace theft takes place).

This is not the first time we have tackled the topic of open working spaces. Last year’s information video ‘The Future of Office Design’ presents open-plan office environments as part of an animated timeline that traces the development from the private cubicle format of the 1980’s to the immersive environments of the future.
